Winter Show - Kaleidoscope!
We are looking forward to our Winter Show on Sunday 26th November!
Wren Academy, Finchley, N12 9HB. This is the same venue as last year's shows. There is parking available on site, via the entrance on Woodhouse Road, though please arrive in good time as there is a short walk across the site to the theatre. There is minimal on street parking by the theatre entrance for those who require easier access. Arrival times are below:
1pm Seniors arrival
1:30pm Juniors/Improvers arrival (Y2+)
2pm Minis arrival (YR-Y1)
2:50pm Audience arrival
What to wear
Minis/Improvers: purple leotard and tap shoes.
Juniors: purple leotard, black leggings and tap shoes.
Seniors: black leotard/base layer and leggings/shorts as discussed with jazz shoes.
Please arrive dressed and ready. Students are not permitted to perform in any tap dance without tap shoes. Ballet/jazz shoes are permitted for modern (though bare feet are fine). Leggings or footless tights are also permitted, though no full length tights for safety reasons. Long hair must be tied back neatly. All clothing/shoes must be labelled please.
What to bring
Please arrive dressed and ready, bring a water bottle and warm up layers. Please ensure students have eaten beforehand as no food will be allowed in the theatre. No valuables or unnecessary items please.
Tickets can be purchased HERE. Space is limited and on a first-come-first-served basis. Tickets are on sale until Saturday 25th, no need to print out, just give the name/booking email. Seating is unallocated.
Practice material is below. Please do make sure students watch and run through at some point this week to refresh the material ahead of the day.
Does my toddler/baby need a ticket? - Babes in arms/toddlers on laps do not need a ticket. Children aged 4+ will need a ticket please.
Can I buy a ticket on the door? - No, sorry. Tickets must be booked online in advance please before Saturday 16th.
Can we wait in the building between drop off and the show? - We can't allow unauthorised adults in the building during rehearsal time for safeguarding reasons. Parents will need to drop students off and come back please.
Is photography/videoing permitted? Afraid not, for safeguarding compliance. We will film the dress rehearsal and make this available securely for anyone who cannot attend on the day.
How long is the show? - Around 1h with no interval. We will then get changed out of costume and students will be brought out to meet parents.
Will the show be filmed? - Not on the day itself, though dress rehearsals are filmed during class in case anyone misses the day.
Is it allocated seating? - Audience seating is unallocated, first-come-first-served, though we advise that families of Musical Theatre students arrive in good time to sit close enough to hear lines/songs.
