What a season it’s been! From Gloucestershire to Hemel, our dancers have truly sparkled, not just with medals and trophies, but with their energy, growth, and the way they’ve supported one another from the wings to the stage. Our talented novice dancers have amazed us all with their dedication, growth, and team spirit, lighting up every stage they stepped onto.
We started the year with an exciting milestone as Team Stars were invited to the prestigious Born2Perform Grand Finals in Gloucester. This was a huge opportunity for our beginner-level dancers to perform alongside some of the most experienced groups in the UK. They embraced the challenge with confidence and enthusiasm, gaining invaluable experience and setting a fantastic tone for the season ahead.
Next, at Applause Events, our dancers performed fantastically. The MHS Troupe placed 2nd in Lyrical and 3rd in Modern Jazz, showing incredible progress for a novice group. The lyrical duet of Audrey Munn and Valentina Norberto Murakami took 1st place, impressing judges with their musicality and connection. Team Stars earned 2nd place in Modern Jazz, while Chloe and Hannah showcased their brand new solos, with a 2nd place trophy for Hannah.
The season continued at the Watford Festival, where Team Stars secured a 1st place in Modern Jazz. Their energy and teamwork shone through, and the troupe received great scores overall, a true testament to their hard work and growing confidence.
Finally, we wrapped up the year at Born2Perform Hemel. Our dancers once again showed remarkable progress and passion. The MHS Troupe earned 3rd place in Lyrical, along with the ‘Diamond Dance’ Award for their expressive performance. Their modern jazz routine took 2nd place and showcased wonderful contrast and energy. Soloist Sophie Simmons earned 3rd place with her jazz solo, and Audrey and Valentina continued to dazzle with their lyrical duet, winning 1st place again. Team Stars proudly took 1st place for their modern jazz group routine, New Star in the Sky and Chloe, Hannah and Jessica all received fantastic scores and feedback for their modern solos.
One of the most heartwarming moments was when the entire NLS group, including MHS Troupe, was recognised with the ‘Best Teamwork’ Award - a beautiful reflection of the supportive, encouraging environment our novice dancers thrive in.
This season has been about far more than trophies. For our novice dancers, it’s been a journey of learning, courage, and joy, discovering their love for dance and the thrill of performing together. Every step forward has been earned through determination and heart. We couldn’t be prouder of how far they’ve come and can’t wait to see what next year brings!
Thank you to all our dancers, families, and supporters for being part of this incredible journey.
